The Wedding Party...

    Dixie Feldman and Jeffrey Laite: Ma  The couple met on the R train in NYC (not your typical romantic setting). She was going through a break up and depressed, on her way to Agent Provocateur, he was reading "History of Philosophy, Volume IX." They started an email relationship and realized that opposites attract.

    “She’s smart, she’s funny, she puts up with my nonsense. She puts me at ease more than anyone else I’ve known. She makes me feel that I’m good for her.” Says Dixie: “I see beyond the nerd in him, he sees beneath the gaudy in me,” the bride said. “For the first time in my life, Jeff makes me feel fully seen, fully accepted, fully loved.”

    Anjali Srivastava and Rishin Shah: Married Saturday in Austin, Tex. The couple met at St. Louis University, from which each received a medical degree and the bride also received an undergraduate degree. Anjali is is a first-year emergency medicine resident at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Rishin is a second-year internal medicine resident at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago. He graduated from the University of Michigan.

    Mark Dawson and William Saive: Married Friday at the Derby Wharf Lighthouse in Salem, Mass. Mark is a baritone in the chorus of the Metropolitan Opera in New York. He graduated from the College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Mo. William is the owner of Above & Beyond Home School, a business that offers home school curriculum design and tutoring to students in elementary grades in New York. He graduated from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pa.

    Sheila Gupta and Hari Nadiminti: Married Saturday at the Hyatt in Old Greenwich, Ct. Sheila is a third-year resident in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. She graduated summa cum laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and received a medical degree from Albany Medical College. Hari is a third-year resident in dermatology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell hospital. He graduated cum laude from the University of Miami, from which he also received an M.B.A. and a medical degree.

    Kathi Littwin and Gilbert Roman: Married Saturday at City Hall Restaurant in Manhattan. Kathi owns Kathi Littwin Photography, a wedding and portrait studio in Brooklyn. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Gilbert is the network administrator in the Manhattan offices of MicroTek Computer Labs of Downers Grove, Ill., which operates computer training centers around the country.
