Chiara Ferragni Has A Message For Vogue

    The battle between bloggers and Vogue editors continues, or at least we'd like to think so. Honestly, there hasn't been this much drama in the fashion world since that angry French guy wrote a scathing (attempted) take-down of ELLE. But we digress. 

    To quickly catch you up, various editors at the storied publication shared their recaps of Milan Fashion Week, and many included thoughts on those oh-so-ubiquitous folk we call "bloggers." However irrelevant the term may be in the year 2016, a time when the actual blogs have taken a backseat to these influencers' own fashion lines, collaborations, and entrepreneurial pursuits, it still struck a nerve throughout the network. Susanna Lau (a.k.a. Susie Bubble) was especially vocal, calling out some industry hypocrisy in a series of Tweets: "Firstly let's not pretend that editors and stylists are not beholden to brands in one way or another, getting salaries at publications...Secondly, bloggers who wear paid-for outfits or borrowed clothes are merely doing the more overt equivalent of that editorial-credit system."

    Bryanboy, Danielle Bernstein, and Shea Marie also responded to the statements, calling the piece "schoolyard bullying," "jealous [and] catty," and "thoughtless." Yikes! Italian It Girl Chiara Ferragni, who herself has starred on the cover of a few big-name international glossies, and has a very successful line of shoes, clothes, and accessories, has remained relatively mum. That is until the last day of PFW, when she wore an "I heart Haters" T-shirt. Sure, this could be some innocuous cheekiness, but we're calling it how we see it: an IRL subtweet.
