Marseille

The crown jewel of this seaside town is without a doubt MuCEM, a contemporary art museum built into the 13th century Fort St-Jean. With bold, geometrical architecture that resembles black lace, J4 was designed by Rudi Ricciotti and is reason alone to visit the site. Don't miss the spiral walkway that ascends between the glass structure and the outer shell, the bridge that takes you to Fort St-Jean, and the sweeping views of the surrounding harbor.
