Serve The Candidates' Favorite Foods

Serve The Candidates' Favorite Foods
When it comes to deciding what food to serve, it can be easy to go the safe route with red, white and blue themed treats. But if you want to do something a little more original, think outside the box by serving some of Obama and Romney's favorite treats. Neither candidates have been shy about sharing the types of foods they like to eat on the campaign trail. Here are just a few ideas. Sliders: There's something we can't seem to resist about miniature food, and mini hamburgers are no exception. We love this take on one of President Obama's favorite foods, the hamburger. One of his top choices is Ray's Hell Burger in Virginia but any rendition of this dish will do. Peanut Butter Cups: Everyone at your party may not agree on Romney's politics, but we guarantee they'll all agree on his candy choices. In a recent interview, Romney admitted that Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are one of his favorite junk foods. Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwich: Mitt Romney clearly has a thing for peanut butter. One of his favorite campaign trail snacks is this sweet sandwich, which he's tweeted about more than once while out on the road. [Photo via]
