Roppongi Hills, Tokyo
Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills is so large, and so all encompassing, that it’s much more similar to a small city than an apartment building. Locals even refer to the complex, which is built on 27 acres, as a “new urban area.” There are four residential buildings (and close to 800 apartment units) in Roppongi Hills, as well as a number of other buildings where there are shops, restaurants and offices. The list of Roppongi Hills’ stores, amenities, and facilities is so long it’s dizzying, but some of the highlights include a members only club, an art museum, a large and beautifully manicured garden and playground, and an entire beauty PLAZA. There’s also a puppy store, so I’m guessing this apartment complex is pet-friendly!
