Robinhood
In 2013, Tenev and Bhatt (who met at Stanford), founded Robinhood, a digital trading platform which, like its name suggests, sought to democratize Wall Street. Its users are primarily phone-friendly millennials in their 20s and 30s. Last year, the company raised a Series F round of funding, skyrocketing its valuation to over $8 billion. Tenev himself is reportedly now worth about $1 billion.
