New York by Gehry, Manhattan, New York
The 76 story skyscraper on 8 Spruce Street in Manhattan, otherwise known as New York by Gehry, is the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere. Just south of the Brooklyn Bridge, the massive building includes luxury rentals, hospital space, and a 100,000 square foot public elementary school. The building, which was originally called the Beekman Tower, was opened in 2011 and provides aesthetic value to Lower Manhattans skyline. Renowned architect Frank Gehry is the mastermind behind this uniquely rippled luxury structure. The base price for renting a studio at 8 Spruce Street is $2,630 per month. One-bedroom apartments begin at $3,580, and two-bedroom spots start at $5,945.
