The Wave Organ, California
Located at the San Francisco Exploratorium, this organ is played by the sea. This seaside rock instrument is so much better than your prerecorded wave sounds. Resident Artist Peter Richards constructed it in 1986 on a jetty built of stone from a demolished cemetery. The music from the organ is so subtle it has become part of the environment.
