Explore Byron Bay
It is sometimes easy to forget that the Southern Hemisphere is currently going through its winter season… and thank goodness for that, as this summer has been HOT! If you’re in need of fairer weather and a total change of scenery, then there is no excuse: head down to Australia’s Byron Bay. A coastal town in Queensland known for its beautiful beaches and surf, Byron Bay is also riding the wave of the country’s burgeoning food scene, making a holiday here as good for the soul as it is for your appetite. Your best bet is to check out apartments or holiday houses there - as you will be pleasantly surprised. Explore its unique nature reserves such as Broken Head, where rainforests collide with the beach, or Mooball National Park to see threatened animals unique to the country such as red-legged pademelon - which are way cuter than any Pokemons you will find in New York City.
Other things to do: If you’re willing to test you patience, finding Chris Hemsworth - we mean, whale watching - is a pretty rewarding activity - if you spot a whale. An hour Uber away from Byron Bay is the Gold Coast - which are the places to go if you want to explore the area’s nightlife.
