Lake Retba, Senegal
Time to bring all of your flamingo floaties to Senegal because we are thinking pink. The Pink Lake, also known as Lac Rose, is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by a few narrow dunes. The lake gets its vibrant color from bacterias, which produce red pigment when absorbing sunlight. For more visible pink color, visit during dry seasons (Nov. to June).
