Capella Lodge, Lord Howe Island
Just a two hour flight towards the South Pacific islands from Sydney, Lord Howe Island is a UNESCO accredited site and tropical retreat that can easily be confused with a cleaner, more secluded Hawaiian island. However, the peace and tranquility of the island is like no other, as only 400 tourists can be on the island at any one time to preserve the pristine condition of the destination and to ensure the least interruption to the ecosystem in existence there.
Thankfully, Capella Lodge opens the island up to intellectual travelers who enjoy a dash of luxury with their escapades. Accommodating a maximum of 20 guests at a time, the Capella Lodge promises “first name service”. Enjoy seasonal dishes, spa treatments, or simply take in the awe-inspiring topography of Mounts Gower and Lidgbird.
