Think of looking for your accommodations like you're shopping for a deal at Century 21. Look for "budget friendly" destinations, but don't be afraid of the word budget. These places are not necessarily budget friendly year round, but rather offer cheaper rates during their off season or when they are not so busy.

This can also be true for the opposite reasons, like in the case of Orlando. Because of its extreme heat, you can find lower priced airline tickets and resort rates during the month of August.
