There's An Island Full Of Puppies In Turks & Caicos

by Millie Moore · July 10, 2017

Heaven on earth is real, and that's because of the island of Providenciales.

What is Providenciales exactly? Well, it's a small island off of beautiful and balmy Turks and Caicos that is home to Potcake Place. Potcake Place is a charity that rescues puppies on Turks and Caicos and is home to 70 of these fluffy lil fellas who were abandoned and left with nowhere to go. They're all up for adoption, but even if you don't have room in your home for a new pal, you can still visit and play with them!

The application process to adopt isn't easy. You have to be 25 years of age or over, and you must be willing to make a commitment to the next 10 to 15 years to the dog. The adoption is free, but they encourage you to make a donation so they can keep this charity afloat. It's a really successful organization so far, as over 500 puppies are adopted each year. They come to their new families with a record of all of their shots and a vet certificate! You can fill out an application to adopt here

An island populated by puppies? Gorgeous weather? Helping out those in need? Yet another place where Lena Dunham is considered public enemy number one? Yes, like we said, it looks like heaven on earth is real. After all, angels do live among us, and sometimes their wings come in the form of floppy little ears and waggy little tails!
