House of Dancing Water
The House of Dancing Water is Macau’s only show, and has been sold out regularly since it started. The brainchild of Franco Dragone who also directed Le Rêve in Vegas, THODW has managed to push Cirque du Soleil out of business with its US $250 million production. With the set literally emerging out of a 26 feet deep “stage” which holds the same amount of water as five Olympic-sized swimming pools, audiences are wowed with traditional circus tricks combined with crazy high dives into the water. The highlight of the show is the motocross bit, where the wet stage becomes a platform for crazy motorcycle tricks that fill the auditorium with the smell of gas and burnt rubber.
