Landscapes in Passing: Photographs by Steve Fitch, Robbert Flick, and Elaine Mayes
Believe it or not, there is more to America outside the beltway! Beginning this Friday, the Smithsonian Museum of American Art is hosting work by three photographers--Steve Fitch, Robbert Flick, and Elaine Mayes--which show what America was like from the road in the 1970's and 80's. The photographs will stir up feelings of nostalgia as you see what old trucks, truck stops, and roadside attractions used to look like along our major highways.
Plan Ahead: If you end up loving the exhibition, join the three artists for a panel discussion on Thursday, September 12 at 7pm.
