A World of Bonds: Frederick Sommer’s Photography and Friendships
This is the last weekend to catch the surreal and sometimes creepy photography of Frederick Sommer at the National Gallery of Art. It has only been here since June and is worth a look if you want to see some interesting art.
From NGA:
"Following his conviction that 'the world is not a world of cleavages at all, the world is a world of bonds,' the exhibition traces the formal and thematic continuities within Sommer’s heterogeneous oeuvre and puts it in dialogue with the work of artist-friends who helped shape his vision."
