Perspectives: Rina Banerjee
Artist Rina Banerjee comes to the Smithsonian's Freer and Sackler Pavilion with her sculptures, drawings and paintings, many of which have also been shown at the Whitney and other famous museums all over the world. Yale educated and born in India, Rina explores themes of immigration in her Smithsonian installation, which opens July 13th. Before the exhibition opens, Banerjee will be on-site at the gallery to create "A world lost..." which actually has a super long title which you can grab here. She will be building the sculpture from 10am-3pm today, tomorrow and Friday with museum curator Carol Huh. [Image via]
