DC enjoyed extra servings of fine dining fare and lavish restaurants last week, taking full advantage of the first installment of Restaurant Week 2014. Despite being the typical atmosphere enjoyed by the District's pretty and powerful, such large helpings of grandeur can leave one craving a delicious homestyle meal. That doesn't mean that Washingtonians will be rushing back to their kitchens anytime soon, of course. Instead, it is the perfect time to check out the Washington's most casual eateries that boast oh-so-tasty, artery-clogging dishes with appeal to anyone with taste buds.
