Barre and Wheel Together
What seems to be the people's favorite exercise during barre?
Personally, I love the sequences that really target the abdominals and obliques. They really push me to work my core as hard as I can and push further than I ever have done. As a personal trainer I devise my own heavier lifting routines for hypertrophy and strength, but barre is the ultimate complement for much needed stabilization.
I have heard that pairing barre class with a spin class is the ultimate work out. Would you recommend that Flywheel costumers do or take advantage of both options?
Absolutely! Core stability and building an athletic base should be a cornerstone of any workout regimen. Practicing FlyBarre helps riders with their form and overall power while in the saddle. Combining the two takes core-tightening to a whole new level.
Do FlyBarre instructors also teach Flywheel and vice versa?
They certainly do. There are a number of instructors who teach both, but you’ll also regularly see Flywheel and FlyBarre instructors jumping into one another’s class. Personally, I take FlyBarre class at least once a week to help with my core stabilization and balance.
