Last night, first lady Michelle Obama celebrated her birthday at Cafe Milano in Georgetown with President Obama and a few friends. Their motorcade apparently tipped off the whole neighborhood that they were near, and caused the street to be blocked briefly.
Considering Cafe Milano is famous for being the place in Washington to see-and-be-seen (like that time Ovi got to listen to Stevie Wonder's impromptu concert), it was an interesting choice for the first lady's 49th birthday. Maybe the "friends" they were with suggested it...and if so, we don't blame them.
