Oh, And He Actually Has A Great Platform
In 2011, Beto co-authored a book titled, Dealing Death and Drugs: The Big Business of Dope in the U.S. and Mexico. He supports the decriminalization of marijuana, has a lifetime score of 100% from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and led a successful fight to overturn the domestic partnership ban which targeted LGBTQ couples while on the El Paso city council in 2011. He also calls for a reform of the criminal justice system, including an end of cash bail, as it leads to more low-income individuals being forced to stay behind bars. In June 2018, he led protests against the separation of immigrant children and parents, and wants to protect the DREAM Act. And did we mention he's very good looking?
