Is rent too damn high, or are wages too damn low? DC topped the list of minimum wage hours needed to afford a two-bedroom apartment at 140 hours/week, according to a map published by Upworthy.com.

Hot on DC's heels are New Jersey with 138 hours, Maryland with 137, and New York with 136. Neighboring Virginia only needs 112 hours, but that figure would more than likely be higher for an isolated Northern Virginia. View the full map here.
