Station Kitchen & Cocktails at The Embassy Row Hotel
What: Station Kitchen & Cocktails
Where: The Embassy Row Hotel, 2015 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC
Why we love it: Station Kitchen & Cocktails lives within the trendy Embassy Row Hotel steps away from the Dupont Circle metro stop. Although the hotel is known mostly for its rooftop pool with amazing views of the city, the main floor restaurant is not to be ignored. The restaurant is one of our favorite brunch spots in the city with wide windows beckoning sunshine, unique one-of-a-kind cocktails by Station's resident mixologist Calvin (be sure to ask him what new concoctions he's created and if he still likes to play with fire!) and featuring dishes like Pork & Waffles with smoky pulled pork, corn bread waffles and stewed apples; Which Came First with cream biscuit, fried chicken, paoached egg and ancho chile hollaindaise; Sweet Fried Chicken Sandwich with sweet batter fried chicken, fried jalepeno, cheddar corn slaw; the Hangover Burger with burger stacked with fried egg, bacon & hash browns; and more.
