Not even the powers of the royal family could prevent coronavirus from sullying their wedding plans. Like brides-to-be the world over, Princess Beatrice was forced to rework and postpone her nuptials in the midst of the pandemic, but this weekend she was finally able to say "I do" to her beau, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, in a surprise private ceremony.
Held on Friday, almost two months after their set date of May 29th, the celebration was much simpler and smaller than originally planned, hosting around 20 guests and following social-distancing guidelines. The newlyweds' parents were there of course, although the public wedding album shared by the palace noticeably lacked any photos of Prince Andrew, who is currently involved in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal (yikes). However, Beatrice's grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip made an appearance, standing six feet away from the happy couple.
