Princess Beatrice Is Engaged!

by Stephanie Maida · September 26, 2019

Well, there's another royal wedding in the works!

Almost a year after serving as her younger sister's maid of honor, Princess Beatrice finally has a ring on her own finger. The palace announced today that the queen's 31-year-old granddaughter has said "Yes!" to her millionaire property tycoon beau, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who reportedly popped the question during their trip to Italy (for Misha Nonoo and Mikey Hess's wedding) earlier this month. The royal family's official Instagram account shared photos of the happy couple taken by Princess Eugenie. Adorbs.

Though the pair have only been together for around 11 months, their families are old friends, and his parents say they've "known Beatrice for most of her life" and that "Edo and Beatrice are made for each other."

Beatrice's mother, Sarah Ferguson, reacted to the news on her own Instagram, saying "I know what a mother feels so I have tears of joy. I am so proud of this sensational news. Andrew and I are just the luckiest people ever to have two great sons in law."

The marriage, which is expected some time in 2020, will also make Princess Beatrice a step-mother, as Mozzi has a two-year-old son from a previous relationship. We're sure she'll be a great one. Mazel tov!
