Lena Dunham is the writer, director, and lead character (she plays Hannah) in the hit HBO series, Girls. For the most part, the story-lines in her scripts are often parallel to her real life--a girl in her twenties who grew up in New York, went to school in the Midwest, and has returned to New York with little or no direction in life.
