First Peek At Surf Lodge's New Summer '09 Menu!

    [Surf Lodge's burger] Stanley and I spent yesterday in East Hampton, and, to say we are excited about the summer is an understatement.  Fitting that this morning, we get some news on what our favorite Hampton chef, Sam Talbot has been up to.  That's right, Surf Lodge in Montauk has a whole new menu (thankfully the popcorn Ceviche, Aussie Burger with fried egg, and Thai mussels are staying put). And we have the first copy of it below...


    Arugula with Lemon, Olives and Parmesan

    Mix of Lettuce with Vine Tomatoes and a Simple Vinaigrette

    Hummus with Pickled Crudités

    Cauliflower Fritters with Balsamic Vinaigrette , Lemon and Capers

    Mix of Summer Tomatoes with Olive Oil, Sea Salt and Fresh Ricotta

    Fried Oysters with ChowChow and Bacon

    Seared Scallops with Pickled Melon, Chimichurri and Ricotta

    Steamed Clams with Spicy Broth and Drawn Butter and Grilled Toast

    Calamari with Spicy Mayo

    Crab Ceviche with Blueberries, Ginger and Popcorn

    Local Oysters with Tabasco Mignonette, Traditional Mignonette, Crackers and Cocktail

    Mussels with Thai Chili's, Coconut and Cilantro and Grilled Toast

    Fried Clam Belly's with Caper and Lemon remoulade

    Tuna with Lime, Coconut and Chiles

    Raw Salmon with Pink Grapefruit, Cucumbers and Basil Oil


    Clam Roll on Sesame Bun with remoulade, lettuce and tomato

    Hot Lobster roll with Drawn Butter, Fresh Squeezed Lemon and Griddled Bun

    Local Whole Fluke Served Crispy with Lotus chips and with Vietnamese Vinaigrette

    Surf Cheese Burger on Sesame Bun with NY cheddar, Fried Egg

    Cous Cous with Olives , Melted Mozzarella , Crushed Tomatoes and Charred Radicchio

    Seared Salmon with mustard, warm cucumbers and bean sprouts

    Local Bass with parmesan, summer squash and pesto broth

    Grilled Rib-eye with French Fries , Spinach and Mushroom Vinaigrette

    Panko Crusted Tuna with Succotash and Salsa Verde

    Spicy Fried Chicken with corn on the cob and BBQ baked beans
