You're just not really from Long Island unless you've spent multiple (underage) summer afternoons covering yourself in branded yellow smiley face stickers, double fisting Bud Light out of plastic cups, stumble-dancing around Boardy Barn.
After over thirty years in business, the Hampton Bays party spot - a place whose website actually had to have a rules section to confirm their 'Toss a beer you are outa here' code of ethics, going so far as to detail, "You all know someone who has been escorted out of the barn for this infraction, so please don't be that guy or gal" - has closed its doors.
With the property sold to new owners, who are probably most likely to class the place up a bit, it's truly the end of an era.
