The Hamptons are expensive, ostentatious, and oftentimes obnoxious. That's hardly news. However, a $27,000 bottle of rosé just might be. The new Southampton outpost of Jue Lan Club, a recent NYC favorite, opened this Memorial Day Weekend with quite a bang...or rather, a punch.
According to Page Six, patrons waited hours for a table at the high-end Chinese supper club, all for a menu that features thousands of dollars worth of champagne and rosé. A photo of the bottle menu shows a 3-liter Jeroboam of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé for $12,000 and a 6-liter Methuselah of Dom Pérignon Rosé for an INSANE $27,000. Who would drop that much dough to impress a handful of underage models? Probably the same type of dude who actually tried to punch the owner this weekend.
Happy summer, folks!
