They're completely buying out grocery stores
Year-round locals have been left with little supplies as mansion-dwellers buy out everything at supermarkets. Citarella founder Joe Gurrera told the Post that people have been loading up five carts, dropping up to $8000 per grocery run and taking "whole trays" of salmon steak and shrimp. “I saw one guy walk out [of a grocery store] with a cart full of carrots. Just carrots. Another cart was full of bottles of water and orange anti-microbial dish soap," said one resident. Honestly though, who needs that many carrots?!
