Hamptons Home Tour, Part 1: Inside Kelly Killoren Bensimon's Further Lane Retreat

Spring has finally sprung, and the Hamptons' real estate roulette is spinning in high gear. But you can't judge a beach house by its gray shingles, multiple guest houses, and private shoreline - you need to get inside! Today we go behind those (artificially) weathered walls to see what's chic in the world of the "most popular" Real Housewife of New York. (Superlative is debatable.)-

Yahoo's Shine, a home decor blog for women who still use Yahoo, recently featured a video tour of Kelly Killoren Bensimon's Amagansett abode. The much-vilified socialite walks us through her "Hamptons haven" - an airy, modern pile filled with Lucite antlers, gold spray-painted tree trunk coffee tables, and "a bit of nature in every room." What else did she reveal? The desk at which she wrote her three books on - what else? - Hamptons style.

Ms. Bensimon doesn't have the best reputation on RHoNY, but after sneaking this peek into her home, we sheepishly admit that the woman has a great sense of style (and humor), and frankly we look forward to that fine day when we get an invite to come play in that sick playroom. And pull the chandelier up and down and otherwise act our age.
