I don't know about you, but I quickly accepted that this summer shall just simply not be like those of years past. Still, I'm clinging to any tiny new bud of hope that springs up!
The favorite Hamptons restaurant of Ina Garten, Martha Stewart and moi, 1770 House has just announced that its garden patio will open for dinner service starting this Wednesday!
If you're not familiar with the East Hampton staple's outdoor scene, all you need to know is that it's the absolute most magical setting - lush blooms, flowing fountain, twinkle lights and all.
Ambiance aside, their food is a dream in its own right. For the price of $68, they'll be offering a special three-course prix fixe dinner by Chef Michael Rozzi, including two appetizers and a main course, such as Roasted Montauk Striped Bass with Sweet Pea Relish, Mussels in Saffron Emulsion, Fennel Pollen and Pea Tendrils (!!).
Reservations will open two days in advance and can only be made by calling 631.324.1770 - so no worries that some fancy lady is going to hoard a table every Friday night from here to eternity, you've got a very good shot at nabbing a spot.
See you there from a social distance!
