Kathe, one of Mortimer's elder daughters from a previous marriage, is the founder of The Acorn Foundation for the Arts and Sciences. She's a board member of Purdue and is involved in multiple foundations prominently featuring the word "Sackler" (Vice President and Secretary, The Mortimer D. Sackler Foundation; Trustee, The Mortimer and Theresa Sackler Foundation, UK; President, The Shack Sackler Foundation) as well as Cornell and Columbia Universities.
