Photographer for Harper's Bazaar, later for Vogue, the first staff photographer for The New Yorker in a six-decade photography career are just some of the credits to renowned fashion photographer Richard Avedon's name. His exhibit, Women, is on display at Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills with more than 100 silver gelatin photographs and about 300 contact prints. Avedon has photographed prominent women such as Ella Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Taylor, as well as anonymous women, ranging from his family members to strangers in every day moments. Women is his first solo exhibit in Los Angeles since 1976, so take a day off and admire the beauty of women through Avedon's lenses.
