    Greg Lauren: Alterations

    Artist Greg Lauren will be presenting a series of 40 sculpted works in the form of suits and garments, all crafted from hand-sewn and dyed paper. The exhibit is at 8933 Beverly Blvd in West Hollywood, and will be on display until May 23. [photo via]

    The 19th Annual Santa Monica Festival

    Held in Clover Park, the ecofriendly event uses zero-waste principles and offers the community a day filled with music, dance, visual arts, food, information and shopping. Saturday May 8, 11am-6pm.

    - Bart Exposito: Bends

    The artist is opening his first solo show at the Thomas Solomon Gallery. The show will include hard-edge paintings that straddle the boundary between abstraction and representation. The exhibition will be on view until June 1. [photo via]

    Premiere of Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston

    The Costume Council premieres Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston, which chronicles America's first celebrity designer and the brand's rise to fame in the '70s. The film features interviews with many stars and will be screened at LACMA followed by a reception on Wednesday May 12 at 7pm. Tickets for the event are $50. [photo via]
