As we touched on in the intro, Tom Morello, who over the course of his career with Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave, and Street Sweeper Social Club has made some very angry music, displayed a zen-like calm when a heated argument erupted around him outside of the Troubadour. In an even, quiet baritone, he talked both parties down (the video is unclear, but they were maybe arguing about Occupy Wall Street?) and even got them to shake hands.
While the whole incident does raise some issues about how much Rage is left in Tom (was he rolling down Rodeo with that shotgun in order to return it to its rightful owner?), I'd like to think they just caught him at the right time, directly following an acoustic set. Besides, RATM has always been more about social justice by any means necessary than about pointless anger and booziness, which comprises 99.56% of all fights that happen outside of bars. Tom Morello, we here at the Guest Of A Guest Institute For Less Stupid Bar Fights salute you.
