Jason Wimberly is unlike any other celestially buff celebrity trainer we've ever broken a sweat with. For one, it doesn't seem like he's trying to kill you, which is nice. He also doesn't yell in that maniacally popular drill sergeant sort of way. Instead, his encouragement is singsongy - firm but fun. But don't let his perfectly coiffed aesthetic and bubbly personality fool you: his brainchild of a workout craze is no joke.

The former dancer, turned SoulCycle instructor, turned fitness founder is behind the hybrid group class concept THE WALL, a fat-burning, muscle-strengthening, leaves-you-sore-in-a-sexy-way workout loved by Hollywood elites. He's led over 5,500 sold-out classes across the country, and after our recent session with him (during which he draped himself dramatically over the handlebars of our spin bikes), it's not hard to see why. Combining 10 minutes of core work, 20 minutes of weight training, and 30 minutes of indoor cycling, it's a class that will keep you on your toes (literally) and consistently engaged.

With a brand new flagship studio set to open in L.A. this spring, THE WALL is sure to pop-up on #fitchick-following Insta feeds from coast to coast. We chatted with Wimberly to learn more about his innovative approach, and get a sneak peek at the ultra-sleek new space.
