There's something to be said about the mystique of TAO - which originated in New York to cult fandom and expanded to Las Vegas, where they are the most successful. Everyone's looking for the best places to eat and be seen, and TAO has embraced the glamour and flashing lights. The doormen are intimidating yet oddly sweet, and the dramatic staircase leading into the dining room faces a 20-foot Quan Yin statue standing on a koi pond. The room is dramatic, and so are the people seated. 

The food is arguably some of the best Asian cuisine in L.A. Try the shrimp tempura or the Thai BBQ chicken with green curry, then move on to some dumplings and duck if you still have room. Don't forget to try some fresh sushi. The quality is really unmatched across the board, including the bar options and cocktail list. 

You will certainly see familiar faces here regardless of the day of the week. Although there's no strict dress code, we highly recommend looking your best, and that means no jeans or sneakers. You'll feel like a fool once you reach the staircase.
