Real Life Inspired "Medicinal Fried Chicken" South Park Episode

by Emily Green · April 2, 2010

Remember the story over the summer about the former K.F.C. turned marijuana dispensary in Palms?  Well the guys behind South Park do and parodied it in Wednesday Night's episode, giving Angelenos a good chuckle. To recap, the true story was that some people took over an old K.F.C. to open up a little weed shop in Palms but decided to keep the whole design of the building and use the "K.F.C." abbreviation for their business, calling it Kind For Cures.  This was of course followed by many jokes about THC infused chicken and what was in their special blend of herbs and spices. In a classic case of art imitating life, Wednesday's South Park, "Medicinal Fried Chicken", the boys think they're going to a local K.F.C. only to find out it has turned into a marijuana dispensary. Glad to see L.A. giving some clever people out there good material to work with.
