TapTap

If you ask locals what their favorite Haitian spot is, they will say TapTap. They serve hands down the best mojitos in town, using Rhum Barbancourt aged in cognac barrels. Must-tries are the fried akra, stewed oxtail, and the stewed goat. If you really want a taste of Haiti, try the shrimp marinated in coconut sauce. This spot is popular among the Haitian community, which really proves its authenticity. TapTap has been in business for over 30 years and if we go by those numbers alone they're one of the longest standing restaurants in Miami. We see so many places come and go that it's a blessing to know our favorite Caribbean spot will always be there.
