Lightkeepers

If you're looking to impress a large party or a hot date, head to the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami. Located in the incredibly luxe hotel and without lacking the same rich ambiance, Lightkeepers offers a spacious dining room overlooking the beautiful landscape. There is an enormous open kitchen that runs the length of the restaurant and a fresh raw bar. The staff is really knowledgeable about the food - this is a career for them, not just a side job. The executive chef, Raul A. Del Pozo, previously worked at renowned Daniel in NYC and most of the kitchen staff are from New York. So if you're homesick, this is your spot.

Ignoring the fresh raw bar, which is undeniably the best thing in the restaurant, let's take a look at some of their options. The Churrasco is an ode to the large Spanish community in Miami, made with garlic rub and chimichurri. Don't pass up the Filet Mignon that melts in your mouth, lathered with their homemade herb butter. Even their salads get a golden pass. Try the Young Kale and Belgian Endive salad with sand pears, heirloom radish, creamy havarti, cured papaya and pear vinaigrette.
