Everyone loves Kusama!
In many ways, she's our current day Andy Warhol. Perhaps it’s because she was his contemporary, but her bright, colorful work draws the same large crowds and brings the same level of joy and excitement to all who come to see it.
As a parallel exhibition to that currently on view at the New York Botanical Garden, David Zwirner is displaying a number of new paintings by Kusma. The works themselves live at the cross section of minimalism and pop. The large paintings live in their own dimension - there is no up and down or correct way to view or display the work.
An essential exhibition for any Kusama fan.
