Jonas Mekas / Robert Polidori: Portraits
Renowned artists and longtime friends Jonas Mekas and Robert Polidori collaborate for the first time in "Portraits," an exhibition opening this Thursday at Edwynn Houk Gallery.
Mekas is perhaps best known as a filmmaker of
Scenes from the Life of Andy Warhol and
Reminiscences of a Journey to Lithuania, yet he often photographed off-set interactions with his famous circle of friends, including Andy Warhol.
Polidori, his former assistant, made his own name as a photographer of architecture and interiors, particularly the Chateau de Versailles. Enjoy this unique juxtaposition for yourself this weekend!
