Last night's
Cindy Sherman Opening Reception was one of the week's hottest art happenings, with luminaries such as
David Rockefeller, Kim Cattrall, Wendi Murdoch, and Molly Ringwald in attendance.
And no surprise - Sherman is one of the most influential figures in contemporary art, a photographer that reconstructs scenes from history, media, and pop culture with artfully styled wigs, wardrobes, and sets. More than 170 photographs trace this artist's career back to the 1970s, a fascinating retrospective of reality, artifice, and wonder.
