The Art Fag City Rob Pruitt Art Awards and Auction
This alternative awards ceremony honors artists for generally neglected categories, including: Who used their genitals best this year? Who spent the most time doing nothing? Who is 2012′s Most Powerful Person in the Art World, by bench press?
The event also features an art auction, as well as a "pig fountain, providing a selection of smoked meats and live-gathered fresh fruits wrapped in edible gold and silver." Although strangely
not affiliated with Rob Pruitt, proceeds from ticket sales and auction will go toward Art Fag City, the self-proclaimed "New York’s best art blog running." I mean, really, how can you pass this one up?
Thursday, February 23, 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. at Site/109, 109 Norfolk.
Tickets are $100, $50 for artists.
