Upgrade your art viewing experience this weekend at PS3* Pedro Sanchez3's "On the Outer Edge," a video installation in a full-scale model home constructed from salvaged materials from the LES. Based on Brazilian
favelas, the home is a response to the crisis of global poverty, transporting a structure usually inhabited by slaves or immigrants to the heart of New York City. Video features scenes ranging from bazaars to dance clubs, imbuing the dwelling with energy and a surrealistic glow.
Through March 17 at Henry Street Settlement, Abrons Arts Center, 466 Grand St.
