Retrospective: Jay DeFeo
The Whitney presents more than 130 works of art by Renaissance woman Jay DeFeo, including paintings, sculptures, jewelry, photographs, collages, and her iconic piece, “The Rose.” An early member of the Beat movement in San Francisco, DeFeo experimented in a multitude of materials and styles throughout her four-decade-long career, which are on display in this comprehensive retrospective.
