Nabil Nahas at the Sperone Westwater Gallery
Large-scale canvases and vividly colored geometric shapes mark Nabil Nahas's fourth solo exhibition at the Sperone Westwater Gallery, opening April 5th. The Beirut-born artist is known for his heavy layering of acrylic paint in order to create textured, three-dimensional images that seem to defy the limits of physical space. By combining the elements of abstract imagery and distinct tangibility, Nahas attempts to explore the relationship between "process and perception."
Dates: April 5-May 4, with opening reception for the artist April 5, 6-8 pm.
Where: Sperone Westwater, 257 Bowery
