Shocking news comes this morning on the first day of New York Fashion Week: Alexander McQueen, British fashion icon, has committed suicide. His death comes three years after his close friend, Isabella Blow killed herself. The death comes one week before London Fashion Week, and two before he was set to unveil his new collection in Paris.-
McQueen reportedly has a difficult time after his close friend's death, as Ms.Blow was instrumental in launching his fashion career. His Fans of McQueen's work included Sarah Jessica Parker, Prince Charles, Mikhail Gorbachev, Keira Knightley, Dita von Teese, Katie Holmes, Kate Moss, and countless others.
