Rita Hayworth was born Margarita Carmen Cansino in Brooklyn. The natural brunette dyed her hair and changed her name for Hollywood appeal. She spent the last years of her life at her daughter, Princess Yasmin Khan's, apartment in The San Remo, 145-146 Central Park West, the iconic two-tower building that overlooks the Jackie O Reservoir.
